Jesus' childhood in the Galilee and his ministry at the Sea of Galilee

Today we drive north along the coast road and take a look at the area of Megiddo, the biblical Armageddon.

We continue to the Sea of Galilee and up to the Mount of Beatitudes , the traditional site of Jesus' Sermon on the Mount.

Then we cross the Jordan River and climb the Golan Heights, from where we will enjoy wonderful views.

Then it goes back to the Sea of Galilee. We visit the biblical Magdala, the archaeological remains of the former hometown of Mary Magdalene. Mary Magdalene was next to Mary, the mother of Jesus, the most important woman in the life of Jesus. During excavations here in Magdala, archaeologists discovered one of the oldest synagogues in Israel, which existed at the time of Jesus and in which he most likely preached. One of the most important finds was the discovery of the famous Magdala Stone, a hewn and artistically decorated stone, which probably symbolically represents the temple still standing in Jerusalem at the time.

Then we continue to Nazareth, where we visit the Basilica of Annunciation and the Annunciation Grotto. Here the Angel Gabriel appeared to the Virgin Mary.
